Mark surprised Savannah with such a sweet marriage proposal at Joshua Tree, and I was honored to be able to photograph their special moment!
Mark and Savannah were visiting Southern California together, and Mark planned to fly home early while Savannah attended a retreat in Joshua Tree. Savannah dropped Mark off at the airport on her way to the retreat. Little did she know, a friend followed them to the airport and picked Mark up immediately after Savannah drove away.
Mark pre-coordinated with the retreat host, who instructed Mark on when he should arrive and where to hide to surprise Savannah when the host brought her outside to “take headshot photos” near the end of the retreat.
Upon walking out of the Airbnb, Savannah was surprised to find Mark waiting under a beautiful Joshua tree, ring box in hand. In shock, Savannah exclaimed, “I dropped you off at the airport!”
Mark got down on one knee and sweetly asked Savannah if she would marry him. She said yes! 💍
The love between Savannah and Mark was evident, and I couldn’t help but smile as I was snapping away. It’s moments like these that remind me why I do what I do. Being able to freeze time and capture memories that will last a lifetime is truly a gift.
For anyone thinking about popping the question, I highly recommend hiring a photographer to capture the moment. It’s a decision you won’t regret. 😉
